Mission

The mission of Close to Home Childcare, LLC is to provide each child with quality childcare in the warm, nurturing care of a comfortable home setting.

Philosophy

Close to Home Childcare, LLC believes that every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, explore and have fun. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and am licensed by the State of Pennsylvania. I am certified in Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid. I also participate in the Keystone STARS program. This provides me with the knowledge and skills to provide developmentally appropriate activities while also providing a safe and secure place to spend the day.

Our daughter has been at CTH for two years since she was five months old. Our daughter started with Close to Home when she was just about six months old. She's now three and thriving. We generally would have moved our child to a more center-based daycare facility at this point like we did her sister and brother, but we just love the program that Miss Marcey has at Close to Home. Our daughter knows her colors, is counting to 13, and is learning new things every day. The adult-to-child ratio can't be beaten, and the love my child has for Miss Marcey and Miss Sandy and its reciprocation from them for her is evident daily when I pick her up, and she hugs and kisses them goodbye. They are also very good about my child's asthma and the treatment that she sometimes needs when it flares. We are so happy with our decision to have our child attend Close to Home!

Close to Home is the perfect in-home daycare I was searching for. My son loves going every day and I know he is well cared for. I love the “at home” feel when the kids run through the sprinklers and pick fresh berries from the bushes in the summer! My son is learning all the skills he needs in order to prepare him for school.
